Did you think that I, Allah the Almighty, created you in vain [so that you could devote and enjoy yourselves and waste time] and that you would never return to Me [for Judgment]?

Every soul will taste death, and you will be recompensed for your deeds in full on the Day of Resurrection. Whoever is kept away from the Fire and admitted to Paradise has truly succeeded. The life of this world is nothing but the enjoyment of delusion.

Surely, it is Me, I, Allah the Almighty, Who sent down the Reminder [the Quran], and I am surely its Protector [from distortions, alterations, additions, or omissions].

Nor is this [Quran] the word of Satan, [the accursed] excluded from Allah’s Mercy. [So, O mankind], where, then, are you going?

Say [to those who wonder and ask about the true nature of Allah]: “He [is] Allah, the Unique One [of absolute Oneness and Indivisibility]!” Allah, the Eternal [the One Whom all creation is dependent on, while He does not depend on anything]! He never had offspring, nor was He born, [He is the Only Deity]. And there is [absolutely] none comparable to Him.

Say [O Muhammad!]: “O My servants who have transgressed against themselves [by committing sins]! Do not despair of the Mercy of Allah. Surely, Allah forgives all sins. He is the All-Forgiving, Especially Merciful.”

Have they not travelled through the land, so that they may have hearts with which to understand or ears with which to hear? Indeed, it is not the eyes that become blind, but the hearts within the chests that become blind.

The patient ones are those who, when afflicted with a calamity, say: “Surely, we belong to Allah [with everything we have] and [at the end] surely to Him we will return.”

Their example [the hypocrites and disbelievers] is the situation of one who kindles a fire, and when it illuminates all around him, Allah takes away their light and leaves them in darkness, where they cannot see anything. They are deaf [to the Truth], dumb [unable to speak the Truth], and blind [to the Path of Guidance], so they cannot find the Right Lifestyle [Islam].

[O Muhammad!] Give glad tidings to those who believe [all that the Quran contains] and do good, righteous deeds [purely for Allah]. For them, there will be Gardens [in Paradise] where rivers flow abundantly. Their fruits will resemble what had been given to them before [in the world and] every time they are served with such heavenly fruits, they will say: “This is what was [similarly] given to us before [but different in taste, shape, color, and aroma, and are constantly replenished each time!]” And for them, there will be spouses eternally purified, and therein they will live forever.

Say [to them]: “Would you like me to inform you of what is better than [all] those [worldly things that you so desire]? Those who are reverent and obey the instructions of Allah and live accordingly will be given Gardens [in Paradise while] in the Presence of their Lord, wherein rivers flow, and living in there forever with their spouses, eternally purified (of all kinds of physical and spiritual impurity); but above all, it is the contentment of Allah. Allah is fully aware of His servants.”

But whoever comes before Him as a True Believer, who has done good, righteous deeds, will be rewarded by the highest rank; In the Gardens of Eden [in Paradise], rivers flow abundantly, and they will dwell there forever. That is the reward of those who purify themselves [by abstaining from all kinds of sins and evil deeds].

Surely, those who believe [all that the Quran contains] and do good, righteous deeds [purely for Allah] will have the Gardens of Firdaws [in Paradise] as a dwelling place, where they will live forever, desiring no transfer from it.

Say: “Our Religion [Lifestyle] is the Religion of Allah [Islam]; whose religion can be better than Allah’s? We worship none but Allah.”

Surely, Islam is the [only True] Religion/Lifestyle in the Sight of Allah [from the first Prophet Adam to the Final Prophet Muhammad]. Those who [formerly] received the Book [the Jews and the Christians] disagreed because of jealousy among themselves until the knowledge [of the truth] came to them. Whoever disbelieves the verses of Allah should know that Allah is indeed Swift in reckoning.

Are they [the Christians and Jews] seeking a religion [a lifestyle] other than Islam [the only true Lifestyle], when all that is in the heavens and the earth have willingly or unwillingly submitted to Him, and they will [all] be returned to Him?

Whoever seeks a religion [a lifestyle] other than Islam, [the only true Lifestyle conveyed by all the Prophets from Adam to Muhammad], will never have it accepted and will certainly be a loser in the Hereafter.

[O Muhammad], as a man of pure Faith, be devoted and steadfast to the upright Religion/Lifestyle [of Islam]. Islam is the natural [state/code and] design that Allah has created all mankind upon. The design of Allah cannot be altered. This is the correct [inalterable] Religion/Lifestyle, but most people do not know.

Allah has prescribed for you [O people] the same Religion/Lifestyle [that testifies to the Oneness of Allah that] He had ordered upon Noah [and every other Prophet throughout history], and that I, Allah the Almighty, [also] reveal to you [O Muhammad], and which I had already ordered on Abraham and Moses and Jesus, saying: “Establish the Religion [of the Oneness of Allah] and be not divided in it.” What you invite the disbelievers to [belief in the Oneness of Allah] is extremely hard and distressful for them. Allah guides to Himself whoever [sincerely] turns to Him in complete devotion and attracts [to His Religion/Lifestyle] whomever He wants.

You have your religion/lifestyle [based on falsehood and disbelief, and you will bear the consequences of your faith]; and I have my Religion, [Islam as my Lifestyle ordained by Allah Almighty and I will have the reward of my Faith].
